Pressing Spring Blooms
I've always enjoyed pressing flowers and plants; preserving some springtime magic for cold winter days. Even four-leaf clovers for when you need a little extra luck.

While the press I use is quite large, sometimes it's nice to have a small one for adventures. Just remember to save some flowers for the bees, pick where you have permission, and know what you are collecting. It'd be awful to pick some poison ivy!

Launching this Friday, April 10th is the Mini Flower Press; handmade here in Nebraska. These are made from oak and nourished with food-grade mineral oil, making them safe for little hands. Never mass-produced, each press is unique and may have quirks, but as long as it doesn't affect function, it's available for sale.

'Perfectly Imperfect' is an option you'll see across the store. Maybe the stencil didn't lay quite right, or the burn wasn't even. Still perfectly usable, but not quite visually so. These are a random design and offered at a discounted price. Limiting waste is an important goal in the Studio, and this is one way I accomplish it.
Each press comes with two pieces of cardboard and 6 pressing papers; you just need to add the flowers. Not including the bolts, each press measures 3" by 5", making it an great size to throw in a bag.

This blog, and The Waystation, is supported through store sales, and each contribution means the world to me. I look forward to preserving a slice of spring and sharing it all with you!
